Have you ever been woken up in the middle of the night by a random number calling your cell phone? Or have you ever had a number call you endlessly but never leave a message, leaving you wondering whether it was something important and the person just couldn’t wait? It’s basically understood that anyone with a cell phone has had experiences very similar to these, and has sought long and hard for a way to find out who was calling. That problem has been solved:

Cell phone number search in reverse allows users to type in the cell phone number that was calling them and see who the number belongs to and even where the number is based out of. If it is a landline, and not a cell phone, the number search in reverse gives the address of the building where the landline is located. This is a handy feature that would allow someone who needs to find the origin of the phone number for some reason. For example, if someone were going on a job interview, but forgot to get the address of the employer, a quick number search in reverse would allow them to find out where the employer’s phone is located and, thus, where the employer’s headquarters is.

Additionally, the cell phone number search in reverse allows users to distinguish between crank calls or solicitation calls, and calls by people who are actually acquaintances of the callee. This lets the person being called update their blocked calls list with the new number to make sure that there is not another errant call to their phone. Or, if the person who is calling is a friend of the other, it lets them either obtain that person’s new number, or gives them some direction in who to call back.
